Brief description IEEE 802.11ax extends 802.11n to nominal peak data rates of 9607.8 Mbps. Like IEEE 802.11a/g/n, IEEE 802.11ax is based on OFDM. Additionally, IEEE 802.11ax uses MIMO technology up to 160 MHz bandwidth and two new modulation and coding schemes (MCS 10 and 11) with 1024QAM increased throughput. To improve the capabilities in outdoor environments, the symbol duration is extended by factor 4 to increase the robustness and a new extended range preamble to increase the operational range.''
